Speaking to the reporters, Federation of Bhandari Community members former President Kadandale Suresh Bhandari informed that the conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
The conference will be preceded by massive bike and vehicle rally to be held from Brahmavar to Barkur.
The demands of the community members are inclusion of the community in Catergory1 from the present Category 2A, legal protection against social criticisms encountered by the Bhandari community members, separate Board to look into the welfare of the community members and inclusion of barbers above 55 years in “Swabhiman” pension scheme.
