Addressing a Brahmin sammelan here, Mayawati cautioned the Brahmins against the “rumours” being spread by her opponents that the BSP had no place for the members of the upper castes. “The Brahmins had whole heartedly supported the BSP in the previous polls and they were given due representation in the party.” she said.
Mayawati promised the upper caste people that they would not face any discrimination in the BSP if they decided to join the party.
