'Corruption crosses all limits in govt offices'

Addressing officials at the KDP Hall in zilla panchayat on Tuesday, he said it was the responsibility of the government official to respond positively to the needs of the people.

“But officials are using power to meet their own ends. Now, I won’t name the departments where corruption is high. If the officials do not mend their ways, they will face the consequences,” he said.

Stating that the helpline at the chief minister’s office was open round the clock, he said complaints against departments and officials would be taken up seriously and dealt with severely.

The officials should not compromise with quality in development works, they should not budge to any vested interest and maintain transparency. He stressed on providing suitable facilities to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled tribe and tribal people.

MLC K R Mallikarjunappa, deputy commissioner K Amaranarayana and ZP chief executive officer K Sundar Nayak were present at the meeting.
