Layout name changed overnight

As part of their plan, they are erasing the old name on the BBMP boards and painting new names. The renaming spree began at a time when the local residents were in the process of forming a Kamadhenu Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association.

The residents were in for a surprise when they spotted the name of the layout changed overnight from Kamadhenu Nagar to Dodda Thayappa Badavane, T Krishnappa Badavane, and Munishamappa Badavane.

When some residents objected to it, they were attacked and threatened with dire consequences.

Written complaints to MLA Nandish Reddy, Devasandra corporator Manjula Devi, and the BBMP local office could not yield any results. Finally, the local residents approached some newspaper offices to bail them out of the crisis.

Requesting anonymity, a resident said such mischievous acts would affect them as their driving licences, voter IDs, property registration and other important documents have Kamadhenu Nagar as the address. Locals also alleged that the miscreants were backed by the party leaders.
