QMy elbows are dark and rough. Please suggest home remedies to make them light and smooth. Can the milk of almonds lighten my skin colour?

ATake lemon halves and rub them daily on the elbows. Wash and then apply sesame seed (til) oil and massage it into the skin. Make a paste of gram flour (besan), curd, lemon juice and a little turmeric (haldi). Apply the paste on these areas at least thrice a week. Wash it in half an hour. You can apply almond paste, as almond has a mild bleaching effect on the skin. You can also apply a cream containing lemon and turmeric daily.

QI  want to do facials at home using only natural ingredients. Could you suggest a few combinations of products?

AScrubs should not be applied on pimples, acne or rash. If your skin is dry, use a scrub once a week. For a home facial, start by cleansing the skin, using cleanser according to skin type. While the skin is still damp, apply a facial scrub for deep-pore cleansing. You can also use almond meal, oats, or rice flour.

Add a little curd or rose water and apply on the skin. Rub the skin gently with it and then wash off with plain water. If you have a normal to dry skin, apply a nourishing cream, wet your hands with water and massage the cream into the skin, using outwards and upwards strokes. Use extremely gentle strokes for the area around the eyes, using only your ring finger. For the neck, use strokes from the chin downwards. Next, apply a face mask. You can use a gramflour and curd face mask. Apply this on the face, avoiding the lips and area around eyes. Wash off the mask after 30 minutes. For normal to dry skin, apply a moisturiser.
