A lesson on nature for students

As part of a study tour organised to the forest areas of Yallodu village, the students of the Govenrment Boys and Girls High School were explained in detail about the importance of conserving environment.

‘Handle carefully’

The team members explained that nature has always been a bountiful mother, feeding her children. But whereas we, human beings, selfishly devour and destroy her.

The love for nature should begin right from the childhood. Children should learn to love the greens, trees, mountains and streams. The love for soil should teach them the role of nature in our lives, said science teacher V Venkatesh.

The students spent the entire day in the forest and studied different species of plants and trees.

They also collected different varieties of soil. The students learnt about fruits and flowers too, as part of the study programme.
