Speaking after inaugurating a workshop on Aids organised by Karnataka State Aids Prevention Socity, Karnataka Rajya Arogya Samvardhana Prathishtana and district Aids nodal unit, he said everyone should have knowledge on Aids and precautions. Government, NGOs, youth organisation, Sthree Shakthi Sangha are creating an awareness among people on aids.
DHO Dr Shivaram said Aids reduces the immunity power in the body. As a result, virus attacks the body. There is no medicine to cure HIV/Aids.
