<p>“On receipt of a complaint, a preliminary inquiry was conducted. It was found that prima-facie there have been irregularities in the issue of No Objection Certificates which may have wider implications,” Defence Minister A K Antony said on Wednesday.<br /><br />In a written reply, Antony said: “In order to get the matter thoroughly investigated and fix responsibility, the government has entrusted the inquiry to the CBI.” <br /><br />Earlier, during the preliminary inquiry it had been found that during the last four years more than 70 NOCs had been issued by the defence estates department in Srinagar.<br /></p>
