<p>Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has written to Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, conveying the decision not to adopt the test till 2014. Speaking on the sidelines of a function, Acharya said the State would take a decision based on the Centre’s response to the letter. <br /><br />“If they do not agree, then we will appeal in the Supreme Court. Apart from the variation in the syllabus, there will be a heavy psychological impact on the students, if we go for it now. It will be better if this is implemented by 2014,” he said.<br /><br />Principal Secretary to Higher Education Department, Latha Krishna Rao, said: “There are a number of institutions which have announced individual dates for their entrance exams. Surely, the Centre is not serious about implementing the single entrance test this year,” she opined.<br /><br />Earlier, speaking at the conference on ‘Media and Human Rights: The Global Scenario,’ Latha Krishna said with the emergence of new media and social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, media was tracking stories as they were developing.</p>
