2G case: Raja may move bail plea after decision on Kani's bail

Last Updated 24 November 2011, 14:40 IST

"Let the bail pleas of Kanimozhi and others be decided. Then I will consider moving bail application," Raja, who has not approached any court for bail since his arrest on February 2 this year, told reporters.

He said he was preparing hard to come out clean in the case and has been devoting considerable time in reading chargesheets, voluminous documents and statement of witnesses.

"I am reading the chargesheets, statement of witnesses and other documents related to the case. I have made a chart of what witnesses are saying (in the court), what evidence is there in support of the statements and what are the contradictions. I am myself a lawyer and I know how trial is conducted," Raja said.

Regarding his refusal to cross examine the prosecution witnesses since commencement of trial on November 11, he said he would do so when the witnesses would depose on the government's telecom policy.

"I will cross examine the witnesses when the policy matter will come. Till date, the witnesses are testifying about Swan Telecom and Reliance Telecom Ltd and I have nothing to do with them," Raja said.
