Crash course on Geographical Information System

Titled, ‘GIS – Principles and Applications in Human Settlements,’ the programme is blended with essentials of theory on Geographical Information Science and Systems followed by hands-on exposure with exclusive case studies.

The course will expose learners to use/develop mash-ups based on popular web-based GIS applications like Google Maps and open up learners to use volunteered geographic information and crowd-sourced knowledge in their respective use cases.

All disciplines

The course is open to candidates from all disciplines while individuals with backgrounds in architecture, urban planning, transportation planning, engineering, economics, sociology, anthropology, geography, archaeology, political science, environmental sciences, social work and management are encouraged to apply.
