Body of missing vessel crew member found

The Coast Guard which launched an intense search operation on Tuesday was, however, unable to spot the vessel MSV AL-Akther.

“The body was spotted on Tuesday morning at 6 am. However, the identity of the body could not be ascertained as it was severely disfigured. The postmortem report will be flown through a helicopter to Kochi, where the final rites will be preformed. The Coast Guard is carrying out the search operations with the help of helicopters and speedboats. It is almost certain that the vessel has sunk, he added.
