International opportunities for Indian students

University of Southampton is inviting applications for its Pre-Master’s Programme starting from January 2012. The programme is an academically rigorous pathway, designed to equip international students with the academic and English language skills they will need to get the most from a University of Southampton taught Master’s degree.

The programme will be taught by the University’s academic staff and all classes will be delivered on campus. Subject to satisfactory performance, participants will be guaranteed a place on a range of Master’s programmes which include MSc in Accounting and Finance, Accounting and Management, Corporate Risk and Security Management, Human Resource Management, Knowledge and Information Systems Management, Management and Marketing Management.

The University’s Pre-Master’s programme can be taken over one or two semesters and will suit the candidate if, he/she:

*Has qualifications or grades that do not meet University of Southampton direct entry criteria for Master’s level study

*Wish to take a Masters’ degree in a subject different to the one majored in for the undergraduate degree

*Feels a need to improve academic English, study and research skills before pursuing Master’s level study

The programme has two entry points: September and January. The first semester programme runs from January 30, 2012 – June 16, 2012 and the second semester programme from September 27, 2012 – June 15, 2013. There is no application deadline but the University advises the applicants to allow at least two months between applying and the start of the programme in order to have sufficient time to apply for a visa.

To apply for the Pre-Master’s programme, students need to complete and submit an application form. The applications for the Pre-Master’s programme are free of charge. The fee for the first semester Pre-Master’s is £5,720 and for second semester Pre-Masters is £11,440 for 2011/2012. International distance MBA from Chifley
