"Our nomads grazing in Kakjung Area near Nyoma Sector of Ladakh had been disturbed by Chinese patrols in December, 2008. A strong protest regarding the same was lodged with the Chinese Garrison Commander and since then Chinese patrols have not visited the area again," he said.

In a written reply, Antony said the nomads are grazing in that area without any problems.
The Minister said there was no confirmation about reports of alleged aerial intrusion by Chinese helicopters into Indian air space on August 25.

"The areas along the LAC are being kept under surveillance by regular patrolling by troops and other means. There are no confirmed reports of an intrusion into Indian air space from the Chinese side on August 25," he said.

In reply to a query on whether Jammu and Kashmir government has reported any intrusion from the Chinese side in India, the Minister said "such reports have been received from J-K."
"From time to time, on account of differences in perception of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), situations have arisen on the ground that could have been avoided if both countries had a common perception about it," he said.
