In the semifinals at the Badminton Hall adjacent to the Railway Sports ground on Friday, Raju powered past Vara Prasad of Mysore Division in straight games 21-8, 21-6 for an emphatic entry into the title round.
His opponent in the final, however, did not even break sweat. Jamsheed won through on a walkover after his Bangalore team-mate Hersen KS conceded their semifinal clash.
Playing with different partners, Raju and Jamsheed made it to the doubles final as well. Raju and Jagadeesh outclased Chengappa and MN Joshi 21-12, 21-11 in the first semifinal, while Jamsheed and Hersen got the better of Parthasaradhi and Rajashekar 21-7, 21-5 in the other last-four tie.
Bangalore Division will take on Hubli Workshop in the team finals, also on Saturday, after both won through to the title round on Thursday.
