Predictable tale fails 'ladies'

All the ladies pitted against Ricky Bahl have one thing in common — a missing brain. So, the casanova conman (Ranveer Singh) wins their hearts in seconds, while the women and their dads lose lakhs.

It’s a spirited show by the women, but the movie fails to match their pace.
Ranveer is a gym trainer to Delhi ki loudmouth kudi Dimple (Parineeti Chopra, in a sparkling debut act). Mr Bodybuilder flexes muscles and his victim is blown away by the biceps. Our man reserves his abs for the second half where he sheds his shirt to show off a tanned torso.

In the next con-story, Ranveer turns an art collector and gallops away with Rs 90 lakh, thanks to Husain’s fake Horses. Here, Dipannita Sharma is his dimwit target. Next, he becomes a kohl-eyed cloth merchant and traps small-town girl Aditi Sharma with some textile talk.

All the three women scream revenge and decide to pay back in the same con coin. Which brings trickster Anushka Sharma to Goa, where the hero is frolicking on the beaches with his booty. Ms Sharma goes all bold and bare in a black bikini, but the story — already bruised by ill-timed songs — is knocked down by a predictable Yashraj climax.
