Kiran Kumar put the favourites Sports School into an early lead in the third minute courtesy Kiran Kumar’s strike. But Ram Singh struck the equaliser five minutes later for St Aloysius. No further goals were produced from either side in normal time, leading to the match being decided through a penalty shootout.

Singreipam, Toneripam and Ram Singh netted for St Aloysius in the shootout while only Kiran Kumar could find the target for Sports School paving the way for St Aloysius to clinch the crown.

St Aloysius will now represent Bangalore in the inter-city leg, also to be played here next year.

In the third-place playoff Presidency School edged out Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir 5-4, also via tiebreaker.

Manjunath, Shahid, Diwakar, Sharath and Mahesh scored for Presidency in the shootout.
Results: Final: St Aloysius High School: 4 (Ram Singh 8th) bt Government Sports School, Vidyanagar: 2 (Kiran Kumar 3rd) via tiebreaker. FT: 1-1.

Third-place playoff: Presidency School: 5 bt Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir: 4 via tiebreaker. FT: 0-0.
