10 missing Ayodhya files traced

The agency, which was directed by the court to look for the missing files, said it had been able to trace ten files.

 “We have found seven original files. A photostat copy of one of the files has been traced, while orders to destroy two files were also found,” said Additional Solicitor General of India Ashok Nigam. He said search for the remaining files was on.

Twenty-three files in the Ayodhya case had gone missing. The Allahabad High Court had directed the UP government to submit the documents but the latter expressed its inability.

The court later directed the CBI to investigate the matter The files reportedly contain correspondence between the then Faizabad district magistrate and the UP government.
