Reacting to BJP member Shivayogi Swami, who, during the discussion of Karnataka Regulation of Stone Crushers Bill 2011 said the quarry is using dynamite to blast the rock and the tremors of the blast can be felt at the tomb and expressed his apprehensions that the tomb as well as the Bruhanmath which is also nearby might be damaged.
He said former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa during his visit to the place had assured stopping of quarrying, but so far no action has been initiated.
