Also moving to the semifinal was the pair of V Diju and Jwala Gutta, who outplayed the Hong Kong pair of Wai Hong Wong and Hoi Wah Chau 21-8, 21-16 in the mixed doubles quarterfinals.  Aparna Balan and N Siki Reddy’s campaign ended in the women’s doubles with 17-21, 5-21 drubbing the hands of Vivian Kah Mun Hoo and Khe Wei Woon in the quarterfinals.
