<p>A junior engineer with the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) has been arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 to sanction electricity connection to a house. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Ramakrishnan, a junior engineer with C-4 Sub Division of Bescom, was caught red-handed by the Lokayukta police when he was accepting the bribe from Madhusoodan, an electrical contractor from Vijayapura in Devanahalli taluk.<br /><br />According to the Lokayukta ADGP H N Satyanarayana Rao, Ramakrishnan is posted in O&M unit at Bescom’s C-4 Assistant Executive Engineer’s office in Ganganagar. <br /><br />He had demanded the bribe for sanctioning the electricity supply connection to the house of Bhoopalan. Madhusoodan had applied for the connection on behalf of Bhoopalan.<br /><br /></p>
