Hughes wants to spend a week in the subcontinent on his way home from the Ashes to clear the chinks from his batting with coach Neil D’Costa, who is currently working in a private academy at Nagpur in India.
Hughes’s management said on Monday that he would be speaking to several IPL franchises while in India, with a view to entering the auction for the next tournament, an Australian report said.
He will return to India to play for New South Wales in the Champions League Twenty20 competition in October.
