Parents get only few days to get kids admitted

Parents are getting panicked after two minority schools in the city decided to distribute forms only on specific days — instead of the usual 15-day period — for sale of nursery admission forms.

Parents are arlready under immense pressure as they have to cover several schools in limited time.

Father Agnel school in Gautam Nagar will give forms only on three days. It has posted a notice on its website: Registration forms will  be available on January 2, 3 and 4 between 2.30 pm and 4 pm.

St.Francis De Sales school, Janakpuri have also announced to give out forms on limited days. “Application forms will be available  on  January 2 to 3, 2012 from 8 am to 2 pm and January 4 to 6 from 10 am to 12 pm. Submission of forms on January 7 from 8 am to 2 pm and on January 9 from 2 pm to 4 pm,” is posted on their website.

Most of the other city schools (private) will sell admission forms from January 2-16, 2012. “We have been planning the admission of my child since last two months. We have zeroed in on almost 15-20 schools. With just few days left, we are panicking about covering all these schools in the given time. It feels like the ordeal has just begun,” said Nitin Saxena, father of a three year old girl. He will be applying in Father Agnel School.
A lot of parents seeking their child’s nursery admission know about this system, which according to them have been going on for two-three years now.

“Some minority schools always give limted days to buy forms. This happens every year. It would have been easier if all the  forms were available online. The only concern is that the timings clash. So we are planning to fill available online forms for the first few days and visit only those schools with limited seats during those days,” said Gautampuri resident, Trisha Das.
