<p>A retired policeman and his wife were today beaten to death allegedly by two persons in Jaunpur district, police said here.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Purushottam Singh (67), a retired sub-inspector, and his wife Damyanti Singh (64) were beaten to death with sticks at their Pratap Colony residence this morning, police said.<br />Singh's son Ashwani Kumar has lodged an FIR against Anupam Singh and his brother Anurag Singh.<br /><br />The couple were alone in their apartment at the time of incident, police said, adding that probe into the matter was on.</p>
