<p>"May be next week. The Cabinet has been requested to formulate its views. When the Cabinet takes a decision, it will be announced," Home Minister P Chidambaram told reporters when asked whether the government had taken a view on the issue after the Delhi High Court legalised gay sex among consensual adults.<br /><br />Following the High Court order, the Supreme Court had asked the government to present its stand on the issue and posted the matter for hearing on September 14.<br />The government had set up a three-member panel to formulate its response and convey it to the Union Cabinet which will take a final call on the matter.<br />The panel, comprising Law Minister M Veerappa Moily, Home Minister P Chidambaram and Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, has already analysed the pros and cons of the Delhi High Court judgement on the issue.</p>
