If you believe in dancing your way stylishly, this one’s definitely for you! Popular dance show Dance India Dance (DID) along with Reebok recently launched its new range of DID apparel in the City.

Choreographers and judges of the show, Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Remo D’ Souza not only unveiled this exciting range but also introduced the 18 contestants who will be participating in the new season of DID.

Says Sajid Shamim, brand director, Reebok, “Through this association with Dance India Dance, we are celebrating fitness through the medium of dance which at its core is fun and enjoyable. We believe that the DID collection, has taken its inspiration from the various forms of dance. Comprising of graphic t-shirts in vibrant and bright colours, this collection is a delight for any fitness freak and lover of dance.”

As for the contestants, Remo says, “The contestants were selected on the basis of their skill, innovative presentation, versatility and attitude towards dance. The desire to perform and excel is so strong in these contestants that it has only helped us to raise the bar of the show in terms of its competitiveness.”

The selection procedure was an arduous task. After auditioning participants from 22 cities, 100 contestants were called to Mumbai for the mega auditions. These contestants then, had to learn three styles of choreography from Remo, Geeta and Terence.  Reebok’s association with DID is brought to life through a vibrant and dance-inspired collection.

The collection includes graphic t-shirts and hoodies for men, with ‘born to dance’ and ‘live love dance’ written in bright neon colours. One can also choose from special DID dance pants that are available in black. The women’s collection is equally exciting with a DID ‘born to dance’ racer back and flick pants. Graphic t-shirts complete the ‘Fit for the street’ street wear collection.

Akash Chawla, head of marketing, Zee TV, says, “The DID brand stands for great quality of dancing and extreme rigour. Taking this forward, this season we have ventured into  a licensing contract with Reebok. This is a first at Zee TV that a costume range has been unveiled.

As a part of this arrangement, Reebok has designed a customised range of DID dance gear and will retail it in nearly 100 outlets across the country.” He further adds, “This will also help us to extend our brands into new product categories to drive strategic growth for the company and will also help increase the popularity of the brand.”
