Rishiketh ton spurs FAPS to massive victory

Ris-hiketh’s hundred powered Frank Anthony Public School to a massive 230-run win over Sudarshan Vidyamandir in the Dell-KSCA under-14 BT Ramaiah Shield (Division I) league tournament on Friday.

Batting first, Frank Anthony posted a mammoth 319 for six in 50 overs, riding on Rishiketh’s 103 and hald-centuries from Anchit (60), Rishabh (51) and Chaitanya (51).

Sudarshan struggled to get going in reply, only Shashank mustering 45. Adithya, Deepak Singh and Pavan took two wickets apiece as Sudarshan were bowled out for just 89.
In another match, St Joseph’s Boys High School scored a thrilling two-run win over National High School.

Brief scores: Bishop Cotton Boys School: 224/6 in 50 overs (Chirag Jagadish 74, Saksham Kaul 46 n.o; Piyush 2-32) bt KHS Adarsh High School: 95 all out in 26.3 overs (Saksham Kaul 3-28, Chirag Jagadish  5-10).

St Joseph’s Boys High School: 175/9 in 50 overs (Prinson Pais 37, Derek Mathais 37 n.o; Madhu Sudhan 2-30) bt National High School: 173 all out in 47.3 overs (Akashy 59, Shankar K 66; Lochan 2-43, Zaid 2-21, Sachin Anthony 3-31).

Frank Anthony Public School: 319/6 in 50 overs (Rishiketh 103, Anchit 60, Rishabh 51, Chaitanya 51; K Prajwal 2-50) bt Sudarshan Vidyamandir: 89 all out in 33.4 overs (Shashank 45; Adithya 2-17, Deepak Singh 2-23, Pavan 2-8).

St Joseph’s Indian High School: 279 all out in 49.4 overs (Sudarshan SH 75, Vinay N Sagar 44, Santh Naik 78; Amith U 3-47, Akash BR 3-29) bt Presidency School, Nandini Layout: 172 all out in 45.2 overs (Rajkumar SM 77; Sanath Naik 5-25, Gurudutt 2-31).  Delhi Public School South: 257/8 in 50 overs (Surya Srinivas 34, Praneet CVS 52, Manjunath Swamy 68 n.o, Suraj 26; Deepak  3-25, Basavaraj 2-44) bt Max Muller School: 112 all out in 36.3 overs (Sai Rahul 4-14, Manjunath 3-19).

Meanwhile, The Holy Saints Cup under-16 tournament semifinals will be played on Saturday.
Holy Saints Engineering School will take on Presidency School, Nandini Layout in the first semifinal with St Jospeh’s Indian High School locking horns with Delhi Public School, South in the second last-four clash.

Both the matches will be played at the National College grounds.
