Deadline for Tagore Circle underpass extended

Mayor Shara­damma on Friday extended the deadline for completion of work on grade separators at Tagore Circle and Kadirenahalli to March 15 from February 15.

A month ago, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike  Commissioner M K Shankaralinge Gowda had conducted a spot inspection and directed the contractors to finish the work by the middle of February. The Mayor, during her visit, spiked the deadlines.

A press release from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike quoted Mayor Sharadamma as saying that it was her last warning to the contractor of the KR Market underpass to complete the work by March 15.

However, there was no reference in the press note to the action that would be initiated against the contractors in case of their non-compliance.
