The glamorous and sensational VJ Bani was recently in town for the launch  of  a new series of bikes by MTV and Firefox Bikes.

She shares with Metrolife some interesting facts about her life. Bani seemed exited to reveal that she will be acting in Bollywood movies this year. After the success of MTV Roadies and Splitsvilla, Bani is geared up to take on many new projects. “I am getting plenty of offers, but I don’t want to be in hurry and choose a wrong assignment,” she says.

She appeared to be in love with the weather in Delhi, and said that it was great to be back after an interval.

The first thing that one notices about Bani are her tattoos. “I have around 20 tattoos on my body and I have a passion for them. A favourite of mine is my new tattoo, called ‘Rise and Shine’,” she says.

Bani, whose real name is Gurbani Judge, came into the limelight when she participated in MTV's reality show Roadies.

Speaking about her passion for bikes and travelling she explains that since she’s from Chandigarh, she always had a flair for riding bikes. In fact, she has been riding since she was very young.

On being asked how she ended up being a Video Jockey (VJ) for MTV, she replies, “It just happened. After Roadies was over, I did a lot of events for MTV, and they saw me getting better at it. At the time, I was applying to study graphic design for five years in New Zealand. I wanted to be an artist. But then MTV happened.”

Bani is not just a VJ but also the crush of millions in India. “I always find that men are attracted to me, but I know how to deal with it. More often, I hang out with my friends in a large group. So obviously, no one feels bold enough to approach me when I am in a group. So guys don’t make passes at me that frequently,” she explains.

These days, she isn’t dating anyone and claims she isn’t ready to get into a relationship either, since her busy schedule leaves her with no time.

When asked about her idea of a perfect man, she says, “He should be a nice, clean man, as I am very particular about hygiene. He has to smell good and confident. He should have a great sense of humour. And most importantly, he has to love paneer, because I do too. And he has to go to the gym. And also, not make a big deal of the fact that I like to eat healthy.”
