Mybuild expo to open on Jan 26

Mysore unit of BAI celebrates silver jubilee, was constituted in 1987

The eleventh edition of Mybuild, organised by the Builders’ Association of India, Mysore centre, is being inaugurated by national president of Builders’ Association of India Cherian Verky on January 26 at 4 pm at the Dasara Exhibition grounds.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, BAI honorary secretary M S Ramaprasad said, the event is a witness of the BAI’s successful 25th year in Mysore with 250 stalls including many of the national and international companies displaying their products and materials of construction with 2,000 builder delegates from across the country participating in the MYBUILD-11.

Building materials, pavements, generators, plumbing systems, bathroom fittings, kitchen cabinets, interiors, tiles, solar systems, construction chemicals, building automations, lighting products, paints and hardware, landscaping resources, rainwater harvesting systems, building banks and many other products are being exhibited, he said.

The free parking arrangements for the visitors has been done in the football grounds where the entrance fee for the exhibition is Rs 10 which goes to the Mysore Builders Charitable Trust, which holds various programmes on health, education and safety for the construction workers and their family, said Ramprasad.

Chairman of the organising committee N Subramanya, said that the exhibition would be a great opportunity for the architects, engineers, building contractors and tradesmen, government agencies, interior designers, property developers, owners, land lords, the direct consumers and all those who have been involved in the building and the construction. Even the civil engineering and architecture students can be a part of the exhibition of new and innovative construction materials.

Builder’s Association of India started in the year 1987 in Mysore has been organising mega events like Mybuild, Build Tech previously in Nanjaraj Bahadur Choultry, Maharaja’s College grounds, Scouts and Guides grounds and Chamundi Vihar Stadium. This time however, it is being held at the Dasara Exhibition grounds, said BAI, Mysore centre chairman B N Hemanth.

The exhibition which will conclude on January 30 will be open for the visitors between 10 am to 11pm.

Honorary secretary R Raghunath and treasurer P Ramakrishna were also present.
