No talks with UPA, NDA, clarifies Maya

“The news reports regarding talks with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and the NDA are totally baseless”, a BSP spokesman said quoting Mayawati here in a press release.

The spokesman also refuted reports that the BSP supremo had sent feelers to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for fixing a meeting with her. 

“The news item that appeared in a section of the press suggesting that Mayawati had sent a message through her brother Anand to the political secretary of Sonia Gandhi to meet her is totally false, baseless and mischievous”, he said.

The spokesman said  Mayawati had not sent any such message to meet Sonia through her (Mayawati) brother.

He said that such rumours were being spread by the opposition parties under a conspiracy.
