JOIN USThe condition of Anna Hazare has improved considerably and the anti-corruption activist has been shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, doctors said on Tuesday.
Undergoing treatment at the Medanta Medcity hospital here since January 28 afternoon, 74-year-old Hazare is likely to be discharged in another two to three days.
Hazare was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with complaints of breathlessness and high blood pressure.
A team of doctors headed by cardiologist Dr Naresh Trehan and Dr R R Kasliwal, head of internal medicine, are attending on him. Dr A K Dubey, medical superintendent, said, "He has been shifted out of the ICU to a private room. His vital signs are all right and all the investigation reports are in the normal limits. We will observe him for sometime and we might, in another two to three days, discharge him too."
Dr R R Kasliwal said, "He is on soft diet and has slept well. We conducted certain investigations and found that all is normal with him. He is responding well to medication."
Anna Hazare had undergone a check-up at the same hospital last August soon after he had ended his 12-day fast on the Lokpal issue.
