City blast suspect held

Kabeer Koyambathudi, against whom a look-out notice was issued by Intelligence Bureau three months ago, was allegedly involved in the Bangalore blast.

Emigration officials received information that Kabeer was on the check out list and that he planned to leave the country today following which the aircraft was stopped minutes before it was readying for take off and he was taken into custody.

A 30-year-old software engineer committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train near Thanisandra-Nagavara on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Nagaraj of Vishakapattanam in Andhra Pradesh. He was upset after the company management fired him and took this extreme step, the police said.
