<p>Tunes of Treasure’, a musical evening featuring none other than the famous playback singer Sonu Nigam, will soon be held in the City. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Having lent his voice to a number of Hindi as well as Kannada songs, Sonu Nigam has a universal appeal and enjoys a large fan-base. <br /><br />The concert will give Bangaloreans an opportunity to hear him belt out some of his popular numbers live. <br /><br />The concert is being jointly organised by the Sri Sudarshana Seva Samithi, as well as the Nava Karnataka Social Service Trust. <br /><br />A press conference conducted by representatives of the Samithi and the organisers of the event was recently held in the City. <br /><br />It included S Venkatesa Iyengar, the founder of the Sri Sudarshan Seva Samithi; Sujatha Srinath Nikkam and Charan Singh R S, both organisers of the event. <br /><br />Venkatesa Iyengar began by describing some of the work that the Samithi does, which is largely focussed on promoting traditional culture and customs in today’s modern world. <br /><br />He made a brief mention of the initiatives taken by the Samithi to promote the usage of Indian languages today, especially amongst young children. <br /><br />Sujatha Srinath Nikkam pointed out that the main reason for holding this concert is to increase <br />awareness about the need for education amongst children. <br /></p>
