‘Tughlaq’ (Kannada)

Aravind Kaushik’s much awaited film Tughlaq stars Rakshit Shetty and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead.

The movie highlights the dilemma of the human mind while taking decisions in one’s life.

The film has nothing to do with Tughlaq but one can draw parallel to the ruler’s characteristics in the protagonist.

The film is scripted and edited by Aravind Kaushik. Anu Apler is the cinematographer.

Arjun has scored the music while the film has been produced by White Air Entertainment.
‘AK 56’ (Kannada)

After directing the Shivrajkumar hit ‘AK 47’, director Omprakash Rao is now back with his 25th directorial, ‘AK 56’. With an estimated budget Rs 12 crore, this film is being pegged as one of the costliest films produced in Kannada film industry. It is based on a real-life incident that occurred in Punjab. The cinematography is by S Manohar  while Abhimaan has scored the music. The movie has been produced by V Venkatesh Babu and M Govindaraju under the banner Silver Screen Pictures.

‘Gavipura’ (Kannada)

Director Kumar’s Gavipura is a movie based on one of Bangalore’s oldest residential localities, Gavipura, and the happenings in that place. Interestingly, the film has been shot there itself. Starring debutantes Suraj and Sowjanya in the lead, Gavipura has been produced by Jagannath Hegde under the banner Viraj Enterprises. J G Krishna is the cinematographer while Rajesh Ramnath has scored the music for the film.

‘Parijatha’ (Kannada)

After Manasaare, the popular hit pair of Diganth and Aindrita Ray is back on screen in Parijatha. This romantic comedy is a remake of the Tamil movie, Boss Engira Bhaskaran that starred Nayanthara and Arya. Directed by Prabhu Srinivas, the movie has been produced by Prem Kumar and Paramesh. The music has been scored by Mano Murthy, and Srinivas Devanand is the cinematographer.
