It has been three weeks where she is fighting for survival in the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Center (JPNATC), AIIMS.
She was taken off the ventilator in the morning on Friday. Her breathing is under control and she is showing sings of improvement. Her lung and blood infection have receded further.
Doctors maintained that the next 48 hours are crucial to decide the future treatment. Dr Deepak Aggrawal, associate professor, neurosurgery, JPNATC said once the brain infection subsides, surgery to insert a plastic tube to channel the brain fluid to the stomach will be performed.
