<p>A contractor has lodged a complaint against Excise Minister M P Renukacharya charging the latter with giving life threat.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Lingaraju, the complainant, told Deccan Herald that he had secured a tender called by the Karnataka Niravari Nigam for a Rs 3-crore work at Malebennur in Honnali taluk. However, things took a different turn as M P Ramesh, brother of the minister was one of the bidders, but lost out. <br /><br />“I was travelling by the Shimoga-Bangalore Intercity Express train on February 7. I got a call from the landline of the minister’s office and Renukacharya himself spoke to me. He told me to withdraw the tender lest I would have to face severe consequences,” Lingaraju claimed.<br /><br />He alleged that the minister had threatened him that he would chop off his legs and eliminate him. Lingaraju got down at the Yeswanthpur Railway Station and lodged a complaint with the Railway Police.</p>
