Houston's ex husband, boyfriend devastated by her death

Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown and her on-off boyfriend Ray J were left devastated by the singer's death.

The 'How Will I Know' hitmaker's body was discovered by her minder in her suite at the Beverly Hilton hotel, where she was preparing for mentor Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy Awards party.

Houston, 48, was pronounced dead just before 4pm on February 11 after emergency service officials had failed to resuscitate her, reported TMZ online.

Insiders close to Brown, who Houston divorced in 2007 after 15 years of marriage, said that he was "in and out of crying fits" upon hearing the news on Saturday, prior to a New Edition reunion concert in Mississippi.

Meanwhile, a source close to Ray J, who was reportedly dating Houston at the time of her death said that he is "distraught and tripping" right now.

Beverly Hills Police Lt Mark Rosen said that there were "no obvious signs of criminal intent" and that the cause of Houston's death is being investigated.

The R&B singer and multiple Grammy winner was due to make an appearance at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy gala tonight.
