Top models from the City walked the ramp with oodles of attitude at the launch of ‘Naturals’ 125th unisex salon. The salon is located in Electronic City, Phase 1.

The event sparkled as the models flaunted ethnic wear from Roopam Silks International. Stars Tina Ponappa, Jenith Aiyyappa and Tejaswini Prakash managed to steal the show. Tina dazzled in a pink chudidar, Tejaswini glowed in a pink netted sari, whereas Jenith wore a gold-sequined sherwani.

C K Kumar, founder of ‘Naturals’ said, “The idea behind launching the salon for the first time in 2002 was to be self-employed. We did not want to relate to any MNCs. So, my wife and I decided to start a salon, which would cater to everybody’s need regarding beauty and styling.”

About the salon industry, Kumar said, “In the beginning, no banks were ready to give us the huge loan. Perception of the people about the industry is very limited and we want to change that.”

The fashion show managed to convey the message that in a modern world, where lifestyle disorders, chronic stress and lack of time have taken a toll on mind and body, it is necessary to take extra care of the same with the help of experts.

The unveiling of the 125th salon was carried out by Rob Samet, country manager of P&G representing Wella. The theme for the second part of the show was hair and looks. Dressed in white, models looked like the epitome of elegance. ‘Naturals’ has six hair-cutting stations, two-seater hair spa room and four facial rooms for men and women respectively.
