The BEO has asked the schools to ensure that plates and glasses used to serve mid-day meals are washed in hot water; students wash their hands after visiting the toilet; students who exhibit flu-like symptoms are sent back home; cleanliness is maintained in the school premises; and clean drinking water is provided.
He has also asked the school authorities to organise awareness programmes in the schools by inviting doctors from the loccal health centres.
