JOIN USWriter-director-music director Asghar Khan is on the verge of completing Tension Mat Le Yaar, a comedy film starring Mudassar Zafar, Salman Maqsud, Jitin Kapur, Ayushi Tiwari, Shristi Sharma, Deepti Gautami, Tiku Talsania, Alok Nath, Sunil Pal and Om Puri.
The film also stars Asghar’s daughter Subuhi and is a hilarious take on what would happen if women stepped into the shoes of the men.
“It is an out-and-out entertaining film which shows Upasana Singh, a lady cop raping a young guy who goes to the police station to complain about a blind woman who robs him. Subuhi plays a lady Robin Hood who robs the rich and gives the booty to the poor.”
Asghar had earlier made TV serials for Doordarshan like Talaash, Gul, Manzil and ‘School Days’. Now, the film-maker says he has decided to make films with newcomers because they are enthusiastic and do not have any stereotypical image attached to them.
