<p> A moderate intensity earthquake jolted the Kashmir Valley today but there was no immediate report of damage or casualty.<br /><br /></p>.<p>"An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 on the Richter Scale occurred today at 7.29 pm with the epicentre at India-China border in Ladakh region of the state," an official of the disaster management cell said.<br /><br />He said the epicentre of the quake was approximately 496 kms North-East of Srinagar.<br />There were no reports of any damage due to the tremor so far, he added.</p>
