SUCI flays Central Govt's policies

Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) member Vijay Kumar has criticised the Central government for not responding to the problems faced by the general public, rather promoting the corporate houses.

Speaking at a street play staged by the SUCI as part of  ‘Parliament Chalo’ campaign against the policies of the central government, he said that the Central government should bear the responsibility of solving the problems faced by the public.

“With corporate houses ruling all the fields, the price control is in their hands which should be actually in the hands of the government. The life of middle class families is under pressure due to rapid price hike.

With health and education sectors becoming commercialised, the underprivileged sections of society is finding it difficult to avail good education and health facilities,” he criticised.

Coming down heavily against the government, he said that Multi-National Companies are controlling the agriculture sector, with the fertilisers, seeds, machines and market all rested in the hands of big entrepreneurs. The days are not far, when we would have to beg the foreigners to provide us the food, he said.

He informed that a huge protest will be staged in front of the Parliament on March 14, opposing the current policies and urging for social security to the people.
