Thimmakka feted

Saalumarada Thimmakka was felicitated at the annual day celebrations of Basavanahalli Morarji Desai Residential School in Kushalnagar on Tuesday. 

Speaking after receiving the felicitation, she called upon the students to conserve environment. “More and more saplings should be planted,” she told the students. MLA M P Appacchu Ranjan said that Basavanahalli Morarji Desai Residential School is a model school.

Zilla Panchayat president Shantheyanda Ravi Kushalappa said that the teachers and parents should bring out the hidden talents in students. School magazine ‘prakrithi’ was released by Zilla Panchayat vice-president H M Kaveri. 

School principal K V Suresh, ZP CEO N Krishnappa and others were present.  Environmentalist Umesh, artiste Somashekar, Food Conservation Awareness campaign convener N K Mohan Kumar and organic farmer Dhanapal were felicitated.
