<p>A 37-year-old BSF personnel was killed after his bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Mahipalpur flyover in south Delhi during the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The deceased has been identified as Dhiren Kalita, a resident of Najafgarh and who hails from West Bengal’s south Dinajpur district, was constable in Border Security Force.<br /><br />“We had received a call at police control room around 2 am, reporting that a bike rider had met with an accident near the flyover. The deceased was travelling towards Gurgaon on National Highway 8,” a senior police official said. When police reached the spot, they found Dhiren unconscious and lying in pool of blood.<br /><br />“Dhiren was rushed to AIIMS, where doctors declared him brought dead,” the official added.<br /><br />A case has been registered under charges of rash driving and causing death by negligence against unidentified person at Vasant Kunj (north) police station.<br /><br />“We have not yet got any eyewitness of the incident. We quizzed the person who made a call but he said he saw the victim lying in pool of blood and thus made a call to inform us,” said the officer.<br /><br />According to police, he was injured in the head so seriously that blood loss could not be stopped.</p>
