A body of a man in his late twenties has been fished out from Bawana Canal in outer Delhi, police said on Wednesday.

“His mouth was found tied with bandage and break or clutch wire of a vehicle was tied around his neck. Sanjay had a tattoo in Hindi on his right hand’s forearm,” a senior police official said.

A case has been registered over the matter at Bawana police station.

It is pertinent to mention that a person named Sanjay, 28, who hails from Haryana’s Sonepat district, was reported missing on January 27 at Ridana police station in Haryana.

Police said they will send some teams in certain locations to probe the case. It cannot be ascertained if the body is that of the missing person.
