FreeScale Chief Executive Officer Rich Beyer said that electronic solutions would play a vital role in helping Indian automobile companies to comply with emission and safety standards. The firm is also working to deliver performance benefits and cost reduction in bringing next-generation communication network to life, he said. Further, he indicated that delivering high-speed processing, driven by the growing amount of digital data, can succeed only with greater reliability, security and overall quality of service, which FreeScale would address in future.

It also introduced a new analogue Integrated Circuited (IC) design primarily for two-wheeler market. According to Bernd Rucha, Director (auto electronics), the design would control fuel and spark functions in electronic fuel injection (EFI) and electronic carburetion (e-carb) systems used in small engines.  Strategically, the design has been introduced as India is preparing to enforce level 3 emission control norms for automobile sector.
