BJP flays Jaswant's decision on PAC seat

Coming down heavily on Jaswant, spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said: “In the last 30 years that he has served the BJP, the party has given Jaswant all the posts and positions except that of prime minister and the party president. Still his insistence to continue as the PAC chief shows he is not a great stickler of propriety.”

Talking to mediamen in Patna on Tuesday, Prasad blasted Jaswant for making the Cabinet decision public. “The decision taken in December 1999 on Kandhar issue was arrived at after a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security. To make the minutes of the Cabinet (which is a collective responsibility) meeting public is gross violation of the parliamentary procedures and norms,” Prasad said. the former Union law minister.
Singh has convened the PAC’s first meeting on September 7. There has been no immediate reaction from the BJP.
