Bangalore Urban Lokayukta Court judge Chandrashekar Ippargi has directed the BJP MLA to appear before the Court on 22 September in connection with the bribery charges against him.
It could be recalled that the Lokayukta had conducted a surprise raid at the Karnataka Legislator's Home (LH) in Bangalore on 29 January, and trapped KGF MLA Y Sampangi when he was accepting a bribe of Rs five lakh.
Farooq, who wanted to be let off the hook in a legal case, and had approached Sampangi with a bribe of Rs 5 lakh.
