JOIN USA high school student died after allegedly setting herself ablaze at her residence in Chamarajpet on Monday evening.
Bhavya, 14, was a class IX student at Cambridge High School in Azadnagar. Bhavya, the youngest daughter of Shivakumar and Vani, was said to have been upset after being pulled up by her mother for not doing homework. When Vani went out for some work, Bhavya locked herself in the house and set herself on fire, the police said. The police are probing into the incident.
Woman found deadA 23-year-old woman was found hanging at her residence in Sunkadakatte. The Kamakshipalya police said the victim, Latha, was from Chunchanahalli near Adichunchanagiri. She was married to Pradeep, an auto driver from Kenchapur, seven months ago.
When Pradeep returned home he found her hanging. In the note that she had left behind, Latha has not held anybody responsible for her death, the police said.
However, her parents alleged that she took the extreme step owing to harrassment by Pradeep. The probe is on.
Man killedA 30-year-old man from Vijnan Nagar was killed when a lorry hit him while he was crossing the road near Muneshwara Temple in A Narayanapura here on Sunday morning, police said.
Nataraj was a painter by profession. The lorry has been confiscated. KR Puram traffic police have booked a case.
